Junior Grace Dunn strung together nine consecutive pars to finish three-over par and tied for ninth-place with a total score of 229 (79-75-75). Sophomore Aimee Gerschke shot a 79 for a total score of 240 (79-82-79), while freshman Sam Paulak fired a four-over par 76 to finish with a 241 (85-80-76). Senior Brooke Miller carded a 79 for a total score of 244 (80-85-79), while fellow senior recorded a 248 (84-79-85). “Today’s round is how we know we can play. The biggest difference from yesterday was eliminating the big numbers. That was the focus for us today,” said Drake head coach Rachael Pruett. “It was great to hear players strategizing to make sure they avoided big numbers on the tougher holes. This is the kind of thinking we need in order to take the next step as a team. I’m excited to watch this team learn and grow this year.” The Bulldogs tallied a 309 on the final round to jump into sixth-place and were just four strokes back from host Omaha.
