first_imgRegional Director, Mr. Paul Boyle addressing the press conference yesterday.Regional Director of ChildFund Caribbean, Paul Boyle has described the decision to replace Francis Joseph as National Director, as part of the strategic developmental plan for the organization.Dominican, Francis Joseph, who worked with the organization for fifteen years as National Director was fired about four months ago, and replaced by a Philippine national Ana Maria Locsin.Mr. Boyle at a press conference yesterday announced that Mr. Francis made an important contribution however the organization is changing.“The decision to part ways with Mr. Francis a few months ago was taken in the light of this new strategy. Mr. Francis has had an important contribution to the development work of ChildFund; he has had fifteen years National Director of the organization here in the Caribbean but the organization is changing. The organization is going in a different direction as he has been leading the organization during those fifteen years and I think that comes with any organization those types of strategy changes,” he said.Meantime Mr. Boyle described Ana Maria Locsin’s knowledge and experience will help in the development of children and youth in the Caribbean.“Ana Maria brings something new to ChildFund Caribbean. Tuesday September 24 was the music night with DJ Music. The elders took their turn on September 25 at the event Marquee.They were treated to sumptuous meals with light music from highlife band and oldies DJ and on September 26 was the anniversary lecture by Minister of Works & Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who spoke on the topic, Youth and Leadership in Nation Building.
