Local Athlete wins International Mountain Running Race

first_imgNicki Haugan of Fort St. John has just won the Gore-Tex Transalpine Run.The run is held over 8 days and goes from Germany to the final destination of Italy. In total the entire event is 300km in length and has a total of over 14,200 meters of climbing.Team Canada that feature Nicki Haugan also included her teammate of Tracy Garneau. The two women finished the race with a total time of 37 hours and 12 minutes.
